Realize that it may be the best city in American for the rich, white, and married…but that some of us feel left out of that equation for financial and life choice reasons. I’m moving away from C’ville down to New Orleans because I need to see more old people, more people of color living above the poverty line, more single people, and more generally friendly folks. I thought people in the South were polite–that’s definitely been my experience in Lynchburg and Richmond. Not so much here. Maybe it’s because I’m chunky and only dating? Hmmm….
