Having a Charlottesville Wedding?
So you’re engaged, what to do next? First, celebrate for a couple of weeks! Don’t get too hung up on small details of the wedding at first. If you have already decided that you want your wedding to be in Charlottesville, here’s a few tips:
- First start with deciding where the ceremony and reception dinner will be held. The rest of the wedding details (flowers, dress, invitations, etc.) should be planned after this is done.
- Many couples want an October wedding in Charlottesville so be sure to book anything for that month as soon as possible.
- Charlottesville is home to many beautiful vineyards and B&Bs, most will work with you about catering and any other needs you may have.
- A license is obtained at the Circuit Court office for Charlottesville if you live in the city and Albemarle if you live in the county. A blood test is not needed for a Marriage License but it does cost $30. It has to be used with in 60 days so don’t get one until about a month before your wedding.
